DORTMUND – Episode 3 : OEKO-TEX Certificate

OEKO-TEX

Before being a beautiful cotton Drill, our fabric was a simple fiber, grown and harvested. It was cleaned, combed, woven, washed and prepared. In the manufacturing process treatments are necessary to obtain a ready-to-use material.

🧵 In this third part of our project, we talk to you today about the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certificate: but what is it? You may already have heard of it, or seen its logo somewhere…

This label was created in 1992. Its aim is to verify the absence of harmful chemical substances, thus guaranteeing the safety of textile products. It combines health and environmental requirements. Certain compounds are prohibited, including those listed in the European REACH and ECHA-SVHC regulations.

Laboratory tests are carried out on samples. If the results are positive, a certificate is issued for one year, followed by regular audits. At Printcubator.net, all our inks are Oeko-tex Standard 100 certified! Taking care of health and the environment is also part of our mission.

We look forward to Episode 4: The Microfactory. Stay tuned! Now it’s your turn to play!
