Today, find out how the quilted kit is made! After the design and printing stages, it’s time to make the kit!
1. Pattern-making and cutting
Once you’ve bought or created a pattern, all you have to do is pin and cut it.
2. Quilting
A repetitive but oh-so-essential step for creating that look we love so much! A little absorbent cotton and patience, and you’re done. Surprisingly, the thickness of the wadding and the fabric sew very easily, without snagging. A first-time success! I used about 2cm thick absorbent cotton and the result is really satisfying.
3. Assembly
Sew, sew, sew… Be careful not to continue sewing when the bobbin’s empty 😉
4. Ironing
An essential step for a beautiful finish and a professional look!
5. Close the sides…
The project is finished, and so is my bobbin!
6. Flip over and voilà…
Congratulations, you’ve got a beautiful kit made by you!
